Greetings!
As Two Brothas Counseling moves into another exciting chapter, I wanted to express my gratitude for all of the former and current individuals, couples, and families who have trusted Two Brothas Counseling for your mental and emotional health needs. I am forever indebted to those who have mentored me along the years, particularly Drs. Tirrell & Lucrecia Andrews, Dr. LaShawn Williams, Dr. Kimberly Applewhite-Teitter, Dr. Harriette Wimms, and Dr. Maurice Vann, Sr. Because of them, I am and Two Brothas Counseling exists. Making the decision to seek mental health services can be challenging, especially for those from marginalized communities where addressing mental health issues outside of the family or church setting has been discouraged. While all are welcome at Two Brothas Counseling, we especially welcome those in the BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities. It is our goal to provide systemically-informed clinical services in a manner that is aligned with the highest of ethical and legal standards in the jurisdictions in which we practice. As Marriage & Family Therapists, our training includes a theoretical foundation of systems therapy, post-modern thinking, and 500 hours of clinical contact, at least half of which were with couples, families, and groups. Our post-graduate training includes an additional 250 hours of clinical contact with couples, families, and groups, successfully completing the Association of Marital and Family Therapy Regulatory Boards Exam, and working under the supervision of a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist who has been independently licensed for at least two years and completed a clinical supervision course administered by the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. In short, the services you receive from the clinicians at Two Brothas Counseling will be among the most professional and highest quality in the field. Again, we welcome you to this new chapter of the Two Brothas Counseling story and look forward to serving you in the future.
